The Space
The historic SIFF Cinema Uptown has a vibrant street presence, a gala sized main auditorium, and two stadium style cinemas. Primarily a venue for film exhibition, it is also a great space for meetings, presentations, and lectures/workshops. The auditoriums can accommodate projection from a number of sources and all have high quality sound and image capabilities.

Aud 1: 484 capacity - fixed raked seating | 4K Sony digital projection, 35mm reel to reel
Aud 2: 270 capacity - fixed tiered seating | 2K Barco digital projection, Dolby digital 3D, 35mm platter
Aud 3: 172 capacity - fixed tiered seating | 2K Barco digital projection
Lobby: The Uptown’s intimate lobby space is not sized for receptions or groups, but can accommodate one 6-foot table for materials or merchandise sales. There is room for receptions available inside the auditoriums at the rear or front. Space for posters, flyers, and marquee recognition is available.

The Building
SIFF Cinema Uptown offers the best in new film releases and special events on three screens, ranging from 150 to 500 seats. We have state-of-the-art Barco 2K and Sony 4K digital projection, Dolby digital 3D, and 35mm archival capabilities. Our sound system perfectly complements great sightlines and excellent acoustics.
