The Space
The Sanctuary - remodeled about 10 years ago, the pews were removed and the space fully reconfigured and redesigned. The new design maintained sacred architecture and includes a beautiful custom hanging sculpture of locally made glass doves that hang over the center point of the room. The room is now in two sections - an upper and a lower, which are about 3 steps apart. The upper level is carpeted. The lower level is wood. Two screens were built flush into the walls for use with movies or presentations.

The Building
The Well, located in historic Queen Anne United Methodist Church, is a space for community dialogue, presentations, and concerts. “The Well, a gathering place for conversation,” is a program that hosts national thought leaders to help people explore mind, body, spirit, community, and world. The project began and continues predicated on the belief that a more just and compassionate society can be built, in part, through generous dialogue in community over time. In short, it is “intimate space, big conversation.” And now, we are opening the space for broader community use.
Our space is located in the sanctuary. It contains flexible seating, multimedia presentation capabilities, and is very beautiful. It comfortably seats about 150, but the flexibility of the space and its layout makes any group from 25-200 possible.
If using our space, please remember that this is still a working faith community and that this our current sacred space.
People whom The Well has hosted includes Bill McKibben, Joel Salatin, Tavis Smiley, Majora Carter, Cornel West, Anne Lamott, Kathleen Norris, and dozens more. Whether we are the host or you are, The Well serves to build community, share beauty, and provide generous space for public discourse and spiritual journey.
