The Space
A flexible, versatile space available to small arts organizations and individuals for evening rentals. The venue can accommodate a variety of evening activities, including theatrical performances, staged readings, cabaret performances, musical concerts, tango socials, film and video screenings, visual art shows, poetry readings and more, all on flexible, individualized terms, thanks to a unique partnership with Beneath the Streets Historic Tours, the daytime master tenant who manages bookings.
From the early 1970’s until the mid-1980’s, this basement was where the Skid Road Theatre company produced original groundbreaking plays and musical classics, and where local legends honed their theatrical chops. Prior to that, it was the first gay and lesbian community center in Seattle, a jazz club, storefront church, speakeasy and more.
Hourly Rental
$20 – $30 per hour
Other pricing structures, such as a flat nightly rate, or percentage of tickets sold, are negotiable and may be a better option for some productions. We are flexible! Please contact us if you are planning a longer run.
