The Space
This intimate performance space boasts excellent acoustics for vocal and instrumental music. Our sanctuary seats about 150 people, and smaller groups are very comfortable as well, given the configuration of the pews. Sound system is available for speakers.
Hourly Rental
$100 per hour
The Sanctuary rents for $100 per hour.
Rental fee is to be paid in advance. In the case of a series, payment for at least the first event in the series is due in advance, with fees for subsequent events due at least one day prior to each event.
Rental Requirements
Prospect United Church of Christ qualifies as a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. We may rent or loan church space to other tax-exempt organizations on an unlimited basis, and to non-exempt organizations and individuals on a limited basis (not including religious services such as weddings and funerals, which are at the church’s discretion.) We request the suggested donations to defray the costs we incur by making the building available.
The user accepts responsibility for making restitution to the church for any damage to the property which may result from their use of the facility.
Rules & Regulations
1. Items moved must be returned to their proper places.
2. Modest amounts of waste may be placed in the church receptacles. Larger amounts must be removed by the user.
3. All rooms must be left clean.
4. Church members and church events have priority in the use of the building.
5. Children accompanying groups must be supervised at all times. Preschool and Church Nursery toys are NOT available to building users.
6. NO SMOKING in the church building, or anywhere on the church grounds.
7. Users are to follow instructions given at the time of booking regarding payment, key delivery and drop off.
8. Users are responsible for the security of the building during and immediately after event. ALL exterior doors are to remain closed and locked at all times.
9. Please heat only the area in use. Hallways are NOT heated – keep interior doors closed.
10. Prospect is not responsible for lost or stolen valuables.
11. Turn off lights before leaving.
Cancellation Policy
A cleaning and damage deposit of $195 is required when booking. If not needed for extra cleaning or repairs, deposit will be refunded one week following event.
Please give at least one week’s notice if an event must be cancelled or rescheduled.

The Building
Prospect is a small, progressive Christian community on Capitol Hill, active in social justice and music ministries.
We rent space in our building for weddings, funerals and receptions, and to tax-exempt organizations (and on a limited basis to individuals and non-exempt organizations) for meetings, rehearsals, classes, concerts, and other events.
Hours
Office hours: Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Worship, fellowship, and church meeting times: Sunday 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Preschool in session on lower level morning and afternoon Monday-Thursday mid-September—mid-June
